Prompt payment reporting

The Commission is the independent regulator for equality, human rights and good relations in Britain. We are a statutory body established under the Equality Act, 2006 and our sponsor government department is the Department for Education (DfE).

The Commission is committed to creating a supportive environment in which businesses can flourish. Late payment is a key issue for business, especially smaller businesses as it can adversely affect their cash flow and jeopardises their ability to trade. The Commission recognises that the public sector should set a strong example by paying promptly.

Points to note:

  • All files are Excel spreadsheets.
  • The Commission has one scheduled payment run per week.
  • From April 2015, the Commission will publish the percentage of their invoices paid within

♦ 5 days and
♦ 30-days, on a quarterly basis.

  • From April 2016, the Commission will publish all interest liable, under the late payment legislation, on a quarterly basis.
