Our response to the Green Paper

In our capacity as a National Human Rights Institution, we submitted to the previous government a response to their Green Paper entitled 'Rights and responsibilities: developing our constitutional framework', on their proposed creation of a Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. Our response set out our key principles, including non-resiling from existing protections provided by the rights and mechanisms of the HRA, and explores the essential components of a bill of rights framework.
