Human Rights in Health and Social Care - new resources

We are funding four suppliers with expertise in human rights and health and social care to produce resources which will help implement human rights approaches in the health and social care sectors.

Human Rights Guidance for Older People's Care Homes: A series of guides and resources to show how human rights can be used in residential care for older people to promote independence, improve engagement, and help have (sometimes difficult) conversations about what residents are entitled to.

British Institute of Human Rights

A suite of resources for nurses, midwives, end-of-life care staff, and medical practitioners – coming soon.

Disability Equality (NW) Ltd (in partnership with IndigoYou)

A set of user-led, filmed case studies with questions and answers for frontline health and social care staff working in learning disability and mental health – coming soon.

Mersey Care NHS Trust

A set of practical resources focusing on clinical psychology, learning disability and mental health – coming soon.
